High Resolution Audio

Hi,

I have a couple of DVD Audio discs that I was hoping to transfer to my ipod. Unfortunately itunes only seems to recognise cd's and the highest sampling rate is a mere 48khz. It would be ideal I think, if itunes recognised the DVD-A disc & it was possible to set a high bit & sampling rate e.g. 320 bit rate & 96khz sample rate.

I am using iTunes 7.4.2.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks

Given the very small market for DVD Audio, I don't think iTunes will be supporting 320/96 importing any time soon. However, there are plenty of other application out there that will rip your audio at that level, and then you'll be able to play the tracks in iTunes and send them to your iPod.
